Description:
OGDEN by LEDINEK. Model 16T Rotary Disk for Top Face Milling Planing/Calibrating of Solid & Laminated Panels. (1) Top Head approx. 17" diameter disk with (34) carbide insert knives (4-sided indexable rotation as they wear) mounted on the face of the perimeter; 1.6" - 15.7" (40 mm - 400 mm) width cap; 2" (50 mm) Min. part length; 0.12" - 6.5" (3 mm - 165 mm) thickness cap. with motorized adjustment and LCD readout. Chip Removal: 8 mm Max (1.5 mm across full width). Motors: 25 HP (18.5 KW) Thickness Motor; 4 HP (3 KW) Feed Motor. 0.5 HP (0.37 KW) Lift Motor. Speeds: 20 - 99 FPM (6 - 30 MPM) Feed Speed with Belt drive. Spindle rotation 3,600 RPM. ˜˜ Installed Power: 30 HP (22 KW); 6" dia. dust port; air pressure 90 psi (6 bar), Total weight 4,000 Lbs. NOTE: Advantages of Face Milling over Conventional Planing; no planer marks or snipe; higher calibrating precision at high machining speed; perfect machining of wood knots, edges or damaged areas; no deformation of cell structure, giving a smooth open pore surface. Thus results in lower glue consumption for laminating; uniform glue bond; better penetration of varnish, oil or wax.
