BÜTFERING OPTIMAT SCO 213 / QC DIAMOND - Two-Head Wide Belt Sander

1,350 mm (53") working width, equipped with (1) Cross belt, (1) Combination head consisting of Steel Contact roller & Finishing Platen, (1) Brush Roller.

Head Configuration: 1st Head: Cross belt sanding unit "Q". With inner chevron belt. Infinitely variable abrasive belt speed 2 - 16 m/Sec (7 - 53 FPS). Segmented fine sanding pad, electromagnetically controlled. Abrasive belt size 150 x 4,700 (5.9"- 185"). Driven by 13,5 kW (18 HP) motor. 2nd Head: Combination head "C" consisting of steel contact roller, spirally grooved, automatically adjusting (AZ-System), with grit compensation & segmented fine sanding polishing pad, electromagnetically controlled. Abrasive belt speed 2 - 18 m/Sec. (7 - 59 FPS). Driven by 15 kW (20 HP) motor. Brush roller SBBX with 0,75 kW (1 HP) motor.

All segmented sanding pads equipped with:  Bütfering MPS Diamond - Magnetic Pad System with 2 sensors per segment. Dynamic sanding pressure control ensures that equal sanding pressure is applied on the entire workpiece, with compensation on the leading & trailing edges. Total repeatability. High-precision machined segments are wear- & maintenance-free. For very intricate sanding tasks the sanding pressure of every segment can be individually controlled with the Bütfering IAC - Individual Actuator Control system.

All heads equipped with: Electronic abrasive belt tracking Pneumatic abrasive belt tension.  Air jet belt cleaner, activated by part size. Air nozzles mounted on a pneumatic oscillating beam. 2nd head uses 1,375 x 2,620 mm (54" x 103") abrasive belts.

Feed system: Constant pass line 900 mm (35.4").  Vacuum conveyor bed assembly driven by 3 kW (4,5 HP) motor. Automatic part thickness setting with Bütfering ME 3000 Wireless part thickness measuring device.  Conveyor belt feed speeds 2,5 - 13 m/Min (8 - 43 FPM). Driven by 0,55 kW (0,75 HP) motor. Part thickness 3 - 160 mm (1.2" - 6.3"). Motorized thickness adjustment driven by 0,25 kW (0,35 HP) motor. Automatic electronic conveyor belt tracking, infeed spring loaded hold-down roller.

Machine management system: "Easy Touch" Control System with 10,4" Touch Screen for all major machine operations, programming of perimeters and storage of 200 sanding programs, supervision of major machine functions.

Complete with & Features: Infeed panel "over-thickness" sensor, in- & outfeed emergency stops, safety interlocks on all doors. Main motor electronic brakes. Automatic star delta starters, motor load meters. CE compliant.
