Winning Bidder Notification

When the Auction Clock expires for the item, the "Highest Bidder" becomes the auction "winner" - provided any applicable reserve is met.

EXFA automatically sends a notification to the email address in the "Highest Bidder" Account upon the close of the item. - The highest Bidder is obliged to purchase the item.

Note: All non-performing Bidders will have their accounts cancelled immediately.

Invoice

An Auction item is typically Invoiced within (24) hours of the auction's closing. Note: The Invoice will include all winning bids per Buyer per location for (1) day.

Each Invoice item includes:

  • Payment terms: Payment in full, within (48) hour of receipt.
  • Description of item as displayed on the EXFA website, including "As Is, Where Is" condition statement and other "Terms & Conditions" of sale for the item as stated in its Auction.
  • Winning bid amount in US-Dollars.
  • Buyer's Premium (for example, if the winning bid was $1,000,and if the Buyer's Premium is 12% then the actual payment will be $1,120) for wire transfer payments;
    Additional 3% Buyer's Premium for payments by credit card or personal check

The Invoice may also include:

  • Technician's fee for disconnecting and de-installing item, if it applies.
  • Rigging fee if it applies (located on the "Logistics" tab on the item's detail page); does not include special rigging fees Buyer may request.
  • Crating fee if it applies (located on the "Logistics" tab on the item's detail page); does not include special crating fees Buyer may request.
  • Loading fee if it applies (located on the "Logistics" tab on item's detail page).
  • $25 Processing fee for the Invoice (includes all winning bids for the Buyer per location per day).
  • Documentation fee, if it applies, for paperwork preparation requested by the Buyer for International sales such as Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, Performa Invoice, export Declarations, or other Country-specific required documents.
  • Taxes. When the Buyer is located in North Carolina, the Buyer is responsible to pay 1% of the purchase price for a maximum value of $8,000 ($80 tax). The tax may be waived if an appropriate tax exempt certificate is provided to EXFA. Any other taxes due any other state are the responsibility of the Buyer to remit to the respective state's proper taxing authority.

Payment For Purchase

Payment is accepted by Certified/Cashier’s Check or Wire/Bank Transfer.

For payments of ...$ 20,000 or less, the Buyer may pay by VISA, MasterCard, or American Express credit cards through our Credit Card Payment Gateway.

Payment is due by the end of the 3rd business day after the invoice is received.
